Business Development Manager, Public and education

The opportunity
As a professional Business Development Manager, Public and Education in Unity, you will be highly engaged with Unity’s transformation of the sectors.
You will mainly be responsible for driving the growth and adoption of Unity products and services in Public and Education business as well as be in close collaboration with a variety of teams. You will also have a direct role in identifying new opportunities to solve customer real world problems with new products, by extending existing products and through encouraging positive partnerships. We are looking for a key contributor to Unity’s verticals business as a member of Unity’s wider verticals team.
We value someone who will bring a blend of an eye for business as well as technical skills, and will be comfortable moving across business and technical domains. You should also have an extensive understanding on how customers tackle their workflow needs today, and help customers achieve tangible business value by delivering solutions that transform these workflows.
What you’ll be doing
- Define target potential customers and prioritize problems to take on
- Identify and quantify market opportunities in the Education and Public sector
- Maintain an up-to-date analysis of driven solutions and drive revenue to consistently meet quarterly sales targets
- Work with technical teams to define solutions to customer problems
- Cultivate long-term business relationships within the multiple industries by encouraging new and old collaborations and ensuring close coordination with key internal teams on pre-sales and post-sales technical support
What we’re looking for
- Proven track record in development of new business with preferably technology solutions
- Worked with or within the Public or education sector for one or more use cases including digital twin, facility, field mentorship, training and simulation
- Consistent record to have effectively sold software products strategically
- Strong experience in building business cases around a product or service
- Outstanding product understanding, communication, and an outstanding teammate who works well in collaborative situations

- Past experience with real-time 3D engines
- Partnered with sales teams to identify strategic opportunities
