Business Development Associate

Blackbird Interactive (BBI) is looking for a Business Development Associate who will work closely with the BBI Leadership team on our studio's future project business pipeline. The ideal candidate will be very familiar with the Video Games industry , have strong networking and communications skills and an appetite for working with publishers and partners to develop and build our game pipeline - whether talking with publishers on work-for-hire or representing our own original games.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with the Studio Leadership team, develop relationships with current and potential future publishers/partners to maximize our opportunities and project opportunities.
- Leverage contacts and current partners to build plans to achieve studio strategic goals.
- Network and interact with publishers to find potential work for hire opportunities on their existing brands and portfolios.
- Interact with these same publishers to represent BBI's original projects.
- Working closely with the COO, support the manage business continuance through business development, with the time horizons of existing and future projects to ensure smooth project ramps to attempt to achieve zero impact on staff management.
- Present initiatives to Studio Leadership team, outlining business benefits and actions/plans
- Keep the studio leadership team and the studio as a whole abreast of business trends and emerging patterns.
- Support the CFO and CEO/COO on publisher/partner contract negotiations
Requirements
- 5-8+ years experience in games ideally in a business development, marketing, production, or publishing role.
- Experience working with large publishers and external developers/publishers
- Familiarity with all the development worlds – Console/PC/Mobile
- Capability to communicate with business partners at the Executive level
- Proven ability to influence across teams to deliver results collaboratively
