Job Title: Business Developer (Bilingual Japanese / English)
Job Summary: Business Developer will work with the Sr. Manager, Business Development to support key strategic initiatives in multiple business pillars (video game, mobile apps, trading card game, merchandising, and/or animation), with a focus on video games and marketing initiatives. This position will work together with various key stakeholders within TPCi and those in Japan, by spearheading communication between offices.

What you’ll do
- Support key strategic company initiatives in the areas of video games, marketing initiatives, trading card games, mobile apps, and/or media & merchandising initiatives, with a focus on video games and marketing initiatives. Coordinate with various stakeholders within TPCi and those in Japan to achieve the goal. Work with Sr. Manager, Business Developer to deliver the impactful results by identifying appropriate problems to be solved and providing solutions to such problems.
- Support video game and trading card game projects by being a point of contact between Tokyo office of The Pokémon Company in Japan, and internal TPCi cross-functional teams. Coordinate and drive progress within TPCi and ensure all teams and stakeholders are properly informed and tasks are executed on time.
- Coordinate with Tokyo office of The Pokémon Company in Japan so that the TPCi cross-functional teams are fully informed to conduct globally aligned marketing activities. Review marketing assets and copies to ensure accuracy.
- Research, analyze, and report on key business metrics and industry trends.
- Flexibly conduct administrative tasks to support the President and the entire Business Developer team.
What you’ll bring
- Demonstrated business related experience in multinational corporations including Japan and the USA.
- Multi-cultural and bilingual with strong written and verbal business communication proficiency in both English and Japanese. Solid understanding of Japanese culture and business customs.
- Strong project coordination skill with proven ability to drive results. Action oriented and strong problem solver.
- Strong relationship building skill to manage proactive, prompt, and accurate communications with multiple stakeholders across organizations.
- Experience in game development, including localization, or game marketing is a plus.
- Eagerness to learn about the brand in depth. Passion/interest in Pokémon brand is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint).
- A proven track record of career progression.
- Bachelors degree in related field preferred.
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of related professional experience.
