Job Overview
The Change & Delivery team within Corporate Finance is responsible for the delivery of change related projects and programs for the finance function and these often have impact across our wider enterprise.
We have several strategic programs commencing and we’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst (2 + years’ domain experience in a finance function within a global organisation). Ideally, we’d like someone with a broad range of experience with demonstrable experience and/or exposure to SAC, HRMS, Success Factors, M-File (or other document management applications). Excellent MS Office skills essential specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint. A good understanding of process mapping and optimization using Visio, strong interpersonal skills and the willingness to learn in a dynamic team are all highly valued.
Reports To
The Business Analyst will report to the Change Director.
What will you do?
- Thoroughly study business needs of functional teams, evaluate these and apply your experience to make recommendations and support the creation of strong business solutions.
- Collaborate with internal clients and other functional teams (Development, QA, UX/UI, Maintenance) and other involved people to support overall programme delivery.
- Work on requirements definition and analysis throughout the whole lifecycle of the solution
- Utilize business analysis tools: models, prototypes, schemes, diagrams and templates.
- Construct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications
- Improve systems by studying current practices; identification of potential optimization options, gaining agreement and designing modifications for implementation.
- Recommend controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures
- Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements; forming project team; establishing project budget
- Provide business case analysis to support transformation efforts.
- Perform periodic reviews and analyses of current processes using operational metrics and reports
- Understand and communicate the financial and operational impact of any changes
- Validate resource requirements and develop cost estimate models
- Evaluate internal clients’ needs and business processes
- Document business process modeling activities for future reference
- Oversee detailed business analysis and process reengineering projects
What are we looking for?
- 2 + years of practical BA experience and preferably holding a recognized Business Analysis qualification.
- Proven knowledge and understanding of BA in IT particularly with SAP or other finance ERP product set.
- Demonstrable experience as a business analyst across 2 full lifecycle projects.
- Experience preparing and managing BA documentation (Vision and Scope, SRS, etc.)
What additional skills will help you stand out?
- Understanding of Agile approach and its methodologies
- Experience with Atlassian products (Confluence, Jira)
- Experience (or strong practical understanding) of with Power BI, SAPUI highly regarded.
