Who We Are:
2K develops and publishes interactive entertainment globally for console systems, handheld gaming devices and personal computers, including smartphones and tablets. 2K is a leading publisher of today’s most popular gaming genres and most well-known for critically acclaimed game franchises like NBA 2K, Borderlands, WWE 2K, Bioshock, XCOM and the beloved Sid Meier’s Civilization.
What We Need:
2K is looking for a Business Analyst who will be crucial to the P&Ls, strategy, and operations of the entire Mobile team. Reporting to 2K Mobile’s Senior Director of Business Development, you will lead our portfolio forecasting and review process, internal reporting needs, and executive presentations. The candidate must be highly incisive, detail oriented, and adept at building cross-functional influence.
What You Will Do:
- Lead our Mobile P&L review process with the Product Directors, and Mobile Heads of Analytics and Marketing. Track and report on our ability to hit portfolio-wide revenue and net profit targets.
- Steward our financial operations with 2K Finance. Track and optimize our project and OPEX costs – such as developer payments, 3rd party invoices and POs, and general org expenses.
- Help craft strategy and narrative for our management presentations – partner with the Mobile leads in QBRs, executive updates, and multi-year org and growth plans.
- Work with Product Leads and Data Scientists to build mobile F2P forecasts and models in support of scenario planning and new opportunity analysis.
Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit:
- 2+ years of experience in a Business Analyst, Business Development, or Finance role in the gaming and/or mobile industries. Management Consulting experience is a plus.
- Demonstrable skills in Excel and enterprise or financial reporting systems.
- Solid understanding of mobile games with a passion for Free to Play, preferably with knowledge of 2K’s franchises.
- Strong analytical skills and business judgement to model scenarios and apply insights to strategy and planning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong deck-making and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to influence all levels of management, cross-functionally, both internally and externally.
- Self-starter with proven ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
Location: Remote, Bay Area preferred.
