ABOUT THIS ROLE
Jam City is on the hunt for a Data Analyst, User Acquisition & Ad Monetization in Los Angeles or San Francisco to work on our media buying and ad monetization (customer lifecycle) initiatives across our portfolio of mobile games. This role will support Jam City’s User Acquisition & Ad Monetization team to provide insights and dashboards for media buying and advertising revenue strategies. The ideal candidate loves playing mobile games and loves to troubleshoot and solve difficult problems with incomplete data. They are detailed oriented and self-motivated to deliver impactful insights.
ABOUT THE TEAM
You will be part of our growing UA marketing and in-game advertising team to help drive Jam City’s media buying and ad monetization and continue its successful tradition of year-over-year growth. The team members are well immersed in mobile and online advertising industry and are passionate about uncovering insights, “data diamonds in the rough” that drive value to the business and help improve LTVs. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Use data to understand player behavior that drives retention, engagement and monetization.
- Understand and drive analysis to prove out efficacy of media buying strategies for key KPIs (incremental lift, ROAS, DAU, revenue, etc).
- Understand game metrics to inform hypotheses and create A/B testing experiments with clear and measurable success criteria.
- Analyze and distill large amounts of data into reporting and data visualizations that clearly communicate business insights.
- Conduct ad monetization yield experiments, A|B and multi-armed bandit tests to solve difficult business questions and generate the highest return.
- Create models, tools and frameworks to efficiently scale both media buying and the ad revenue business.
- Identify and troubleshoot any data discrepancies with data platform team and analytics.
- Communicate effectively and succinctly with internal and external partners to efficiently drive campaign performance.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-4 years of experience in a product, data or business analyst role.
- Proven Data Analysis, SQL and Excel experience.
- Detail-oriented with great attention to accuracy is a must.
- No job is too small attitude, and not afraid to peel back the layers of the onion to get results/find answers “hack your way to results”.
- Ability to multi-task and priories tasks are critical.
- BA/BS Degree in marketing or equivalent.
- Ability to use Powerpoint, Keynote or Google Slides to summarize and visualize concepts.
- Excellent communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences.
NICE TO HAVE
- Working knowledge of Python, R or other statistical programming.
- Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau is a PLUS.
- Experience working with F2P games.
