Job Description
We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Build & Release Specialist to be part of Ubisoft Barcelona development Team. If you have a passion for videogames and want to work in a friendly and international environment, come join our team!
As the Release & Build Specialist, you guarantee the dev team that we have a great build by developing an on-demand, automated process. You know all the latest tools of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment methodologies. You understand how to build robust build systems, create logs that are accessible and detailed, and you are dedicated to setting the bar sky-high on reliability. Your builds will generate automatically on every changelist, are optimized to build only what needs refreshing, and perform automated testing to give feedback to the dev team as quickly as possible. You are an essential part of our success and are proud of it.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain the automated CI/CD version creation process.
- Analyze build system performance and develop reliability and automation improvements.
- Support the dev team by identifying and isolating problematic changelists.
- Document and update the version creation, management and deployment processes.
- Help integrate all new hires into the project and manage a large build farm.
Qualifications
- Good knowledge of C# (preferred) or other object-oriented programming languages.
- Excellent knowledge of at least one scripting language ex. PowerShell, Batch.
- Excellent knowledge of Windows environment ex. registries, file system, networking
- Experience with build/continuous integration servers ex. QuickBuild, GitLab CI/CD, TeamCity.
- Good knowledge of a source control system ex. Perforce, Git.
- Good knowledge of task/defect tracking ex. Jira.
- Experience in working with game engines and game development interfaces a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Passion for the making and playing of any type of games.
- Autonomous and proactive attitude.
- Problem-solving and open mind.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to change.
