The Challenge
As the Build and Release Engineer on our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the code and content release pipeline for KSP2, and related automated processes. You'll ensure that our continuous integration, merge and branch deployment, version control systems, and automated testing platforms are running smoothly and empowering our team to develop our multi-platform and cross-console game title.

Working alongside other engineering professionals, you are a clear and streamlined communicator, and a standout colleague. You will evaluate and understand the potential impacts of various service integrations and implementations and will make evidence-based recommendations on our path forward. You'll make deep contributions to our overall quality processes as we continue to expand the studio and will impact our ability to scale and grow for years to come. Together, we will collaborate with leadership, improve tools and processes, collaborate with QA, and deliver software that drives us to shipping a game that our players will love!
What You Bring
- At least two years' experience in a similar role.
- Provided system configuration support to least one shipped or live-operated product
- Knowledge of Build and Release Engineering principles and m ethodologies including source control (Perforce), branch management, and build testing.
- Scripting and automation skills in one or more of PowerShell, Groovy script, Python, bash, or similar.
- Solid understanding of continuous integration best practices.
- Experience with automated build systems such as Jenkins, TeamCity, Octopus, or equivalent.
- Experience with bug-tracking software.
- Strong communication skills, the ability to work closely and expertly with a team of peers.
Great to Have:
- Experience with the Unity Game Engine.
- Experience with deployment to the Steam gaming platform.
- A passion for space exploration, rocketry, satellites, and related entertainment media is a plus.
- Experience with Game Console Builds and TCRs for Xbox or PlayStation platforms
