Senior Build Engineer

Are you an experienced Build Engineer? Do you enjoy using your skills to help others to be able to perform their jobs easier?

We are looking for someone like you to become our all-new Senior Build Engineer and join our passionate and talented team, where we are building on the years of success that Rebellion has enjoyed.

You will work closely with our in-house engine team, to help maintain and improve our internal build, test, and asset processing systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work at an independent AAA multi-project studio and help make all of the games Rebellion is working on as good as they can be.

You will;

• Improve developers' workflow
• Design and implement complex multi-component systems, creating and sharing Design documents where appropriate
• Identify architectural issues in systems and provide a fix with minimal impact to users
• Extend build and test systems for new platforms
• Extend asset processing systems when other teams need new features
• Diagnose and fix errors that occur in developer or continuous integration builds
• Assist game teams in finding, fixing, and preventing problems
• Write programs to make disparate systems work together seamlessly

Requirements

• To be familiar with configuration of the Jenkins server OS and JVM, and able to adjust settings as needed.
• To have a methodical approach to problem solving
• Some experience with source control
• An understanding of how systems fit together
• An ability to quickly learn new systems, concepts, and languages
• A genuine Interest in making others peoples jobs easier
• Some programming knowledge/ experience with C++, C#, Python, Batch, Bash, Groovy, Java, Perl, PHP would be an advantage
