Your Mission
Activision Publishing is currently looking for a Build Engineer to join the Mobile Team. We are looking for an individual who has a passion and proven track record for building and launching great games.
As a Build Engineer you will architect, optimize and maintain the overall build process and infrastructure specifically for supporting Mobile platforms within a shared, cross-platform environment. This includes having hands on experience with pipelines, tools, build process and more. You will be a direct part of a core team but collaborate with a global team.
Your goals and responsibilities include ensuring the build system is always reliable and performant for Mobile development, some of which will be adapted from other platforms and some which will be architected and implemented from scratch by you with guidance from the Technical Director. Qualified candidates need to be self-starters, able to operate in a highly dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, debug, optimize and refine build process, pipelines, tools and infrastructure as needed
- Perform research to acquire new knowledge necessary to perform assigned tasks and maintain a process of technological evolution with a Mobile platform focus
- Communicate with other departments within the team and Activision global community to improve existing system and determine new solutions
- Stay informed and be able to support new Mobile and Live ops trends, First Party platforms, App stores and Publishing systems
Player Profile
Requirements:
- 3+ years programming experience
- Contributed extensively to the development of one or more game projects, PC, Console or Mobile
- General familiarity of all the tools, pipeline, build and deployment steps related to game development
- An ability to operate within a large, constantly-evolving project, code-base and tool chain supporting 100s of developers from all disciplines globally
- Demonstrated ability to write clean, readable, portable, reliable, and optimized code on multi-platform projects
- Excellent task organizational and communications skills. Documentation should be second nature
Extra Points:
- Proven experience in automation and continuous integration
- Some familiarity with current Mobile development tools and systems
- Knowledge with computer game technologies including: AI programming, physics, 3D programming, animation, collision detection, network programming
