What We Need
We are looking for a skilled Build Engineer to create and maintain build systems who are comfortable with C++ and working within large codebases. If you're looking for a place to get your video game career started, this is an excellent opportunity to join a small, hardworking team of developers. Mass Media works on several projects at once, supporting a diverse array of games, on varying platforms and game engines. What You Will Do
- Create new and maintain existing build and automated testing systems to process both assets and code artifacts.
- Make minor changes and fixes in large C++ game codebases.
- Make alterations to building pipeline tools in C++ and other languages.
- Proactively identify the data pipeline tools that will be needed throughout development.
- Participate in the design of systems to assist in the creation of supporting tools and technologies.
- Write and maintain documentation.
Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit
- Experience programming in C++ on commercial software projects
- Experience with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, TravisCI, or Team City
- Experience scripting with Batch, PowerShell, and Python
- Self-motivated and able to drive ideas to completion
- Strong ability to quickly learn new areas of development
- Proven ability to work well with all game development disciplines
- Ability to analyze a situation and communicate the most effective and efficient solution.
Bonus Points
- Passionate video game enthusiast
- Expertise with C++ and experience with C#/.NET programming languages
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Familiarity with SQL, concurrent processing (multithreading), client/server concepts
- Familiarity with Perforce and bug-tracking software
- Experience with UE4, Unity, and other game engines
- In-depth knowledge of game content pipelines at previous projects.
- Familiarity with MSBuild
