Software Engineer (Build/Core) - Ridgeline Games
Ridgeline Games is focused on building rich narrative campaigns with memorable characters and powerful experiences all in the Battlefield universe. Role Overview: We are looking for an engineer to join our team who has experience working in CI/CD environments. Reporting to the Studio Technical Director, you will extend and improve our build infrastructure and are not afraid of digging deep into complex systems to analyze causes of build issues and improve performance. In additional to working with build infrastructure, you will debug complex issues in data pipelines, engine code, and tools used by the development team.
Responsibilities:
- Development of build systems and scripts, automation and monitoring systems, and maintain/extend continuous integration systems.
- Analyze workflows and bottlenecks in the content production process and identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency.
- Developing tools/workflows/telemetry for video game content creators (designer, visual art, audio, video).
- Collaborate with many other domains and production to integrate and develop core technologies, manage, and optimize memory, load time, and performance.
Qualifications:
- BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Experience with 1st party toolchain and submission tools
- Excellent debugging and multi-threading skills
- Knowledge of several programming languages, such as C#, C++, Python and XML
- 3+ years of experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration platforms and Version Control Systems
- 3+ years of experience with Perforce and Jenkins
- Support a collaborative working environment
