Build Engineer - Game Integration Pipeline
San Francisco
We are seeking a candidate to join our game integration platform to help improve overall engineering effectiveness with lightning fast build times! As a build engineer, you will have the rare opportunity to work at the intersection of platform technologies, game development and infrastructure outside a traditional studio environment. This role will work with many different teams across the SIE organization and beyond, and we'd love someone open to being mentored by colleagues across departments and bringing best practices into the team. You'll be integrating many different pipelines and technologies to help us prototype fast and effectively for multiple platforms. Responsibilities:
- Streamline deployments for multiple projects across different software branches and sandbox environments
- Learn, maintain, and improve existing scripts for games, viewers, and tools
- Work with our existing game and patch build scripts, implementing performance improvements and experimenting with new technologies
- Configure and maintain CI/CD and testing infrastructure for SDK integration, platform features and prototype projects
- Optimizing game build times to improve build efficiency for multiple teams using your tools and technology
Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional work experience as a developer, TPM or similar technical role
- Experience with Jenkins and Groovy scripting
- Bachelor's Degree in STEM and/or equivalent work experience
- Ability to write, integrate, and maintain pipelines for CI/CD
- Ability to design and implement modular and easily extensible solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- Development experience with game console platforms (PlayStation/Xbox) and/or game engines (Unreal/Unity).
- AWS experience
- Experience with Windows/Linux build environments
- Experience with C++ and Python
- Experience using Docker and Kubernetes
