Summary
The Brand Video Editor is responsible for crafting audio/visual assets that showcase our games in the best manner possible, telling stories that drive excitement amongst our fans. Responsibilities include the visual development of trailers, screenshots, and renders from kick-off to delivery of the final edit. This critical role reports to the Senior Brand Director, working to set the vision and quality bar at a level that is amongst the top tier within the industry. It also requires close collaboration with the Development team to obtain the necessary source materials, and ensure the quality and integrity of the audio/visual assets effectively communicate and represent the product vision, while pushing the boundaries of competitive visual quality. The role requires solid conceptualization, visualization and prototyping skills and techniques, as well as an exceptional understanding of visual storytelling and methodology.
Responsibilities
- Capture in-game video and screenshots with minimal direction and oversight
- Convert videos to necessary format (uncompressed, compressed, Bink, etc)
- Create and design graphics for video production
- Collaborate with development to make exciting game trailers.
Competencies, Skills & Knowledge
- Knowledge of design principles and current tools including Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects
- Excellent storytelling through editing
- Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and excellent oral and written communication skills
- Passion for film, animation, and games
- Knowledge of current video game market and cutting-edge go-to-market techniques
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and be open to direction
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to create a work flow of tasks to assist in the editing/creative processes in the case of assets being created external to the company.
Requirements
- 4+ years of video editing experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with NLE tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
- Expertise in the Adobe suite of products (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
- Experience with creating video content for multiple mediums and screens.
- Passion for visual storytelling

- A passion for games
- Prior game industry experience
- The uncanny ability to splice, crop, shorten, and keyframe blindfolded because you have memorized the keyboard shortcuts!
