Blizzard is on a quest to find a legendary Brand Manager for the Overwatch Global Publishing team. This role will support go-to-market planning for Overwatch 2 and oversee the execution and optimization of publishing / commercial programs and promotions.
The ideal candidate seeks to leverage audience insights to develop strategic plans and has experience launching highly visible commercial and marketing activations. The individual must also be a collaborative leader – establishing objectives and priorities and building consensus with multiple stakeholder groups.
Covid-19 Hiring Update: We’re currently in a work-from-home model, and we’re continuing to interview and hire during this time. This role is expected to begin as a remote position but will transition to at least a partial in-office position based out of Irvine, CA. We understand each person’s circumstances may be unique and will work with you to explore possible interim options.
Responsibilities
- Generate actionable insights through a deep understanding of our players, and establish global marketing strategies and KPIs to drive growth for the Overwatch franchise.
- Develop monthly go-to-market plans using performance data to optimize and design activations across key publishing touchpoints (i.e., streaming platforms, first-party stores, etc)
- Collaborate with Overwatch developers, cross-functional teams, and regional publishing teams to develop acquisition & retention campaigns that support the Overwatch brand.
- Represent the franchise and provide support to CPG & partnership teams as they develop strategies and plans that live within the Overwatch ecosystem.
- Manage the global marketing budget and consistently measure campaign performance to ensure effective use of funds to drive demand.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in marketing a high-profile consumer-facing brand and campaigns, with experience in strategy, delivery, and creative thinking/idea generation
- 5+ years of experience leading mobile and digital campaigns working effectively with development teams, agency partners, and cross-functional teams
- 5+ years’ experience and ability to leverage consumer insights and business analytics to impact campaign objectives and design
- 5+ years experience performing organizational and project management skills as a Brand Manager to manage & complete multiple priorities and projects effectively simultaneously
- 5+ years of experience presenting campaign strategies, storyboards, and analytics reports
- 2+ years of experience working on video games, video game industry, and/or entertainment
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration
- Direct experience marketing games
- International experience
- Passion for and in-depth knowledge of Blizzard games, particularly Overwatch
