About the Role:
AppLovin’s Brand and Creative Design Team is looking for a seasoned Brand Designer to support upcoming projects for the AppLovin brands in the China/APAC region. You will be working with two parts of our marketing team: 1) local CN marketing leads; and 2) our creative/brand team that is responsible for creating a variety of collateral ranging from websites, landing pages, newsletters, social media and ad campaigns, event materials (print and digital), presentation decks, video/motion graphics, and more. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about creative challenges, responsible, enjoys working with others and sometimes flying solo, has experience in the tech space, and wants to bring new ideas to the table.
Your day-to-day projects may include projects like: ad creation, event graphic support, web graphic support, and collaborating in Figma to grow a suite of templates.

Basic qualifications:
- A thoughtfully presented portfolio, showing the ability to think conceptually and strategically.
- BA/BS degree in graphic design, media arts, illustration, animation, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-3 years of professional graphic design experience, with an emphasis in digital marketing for the tech space.
- Good working knowledge in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Figma. Experience working with Canva is a plus.
- Mastery of basic design principles such as typography, composition, scale, etc.
- In the case of being located in Asia - proficiency in Mandarin is important. Bonus if there are multilingual skills in Japanese or Korean (in addition to English).
- Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision.
- Ability to work collaboratively in multiple timezones, particularly PST, EST, and GMT+8.
- Ability to grasp multiple design requirements with careful attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that is constantly changing.
- Great team communication skills.
- Ability to take initiative and think independently.
- Comfortable with working to the requirements of a brand guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Listen-in on huddles and project kickoffs
- Present ideas, sketches, and concepts to a lead designer
- Create using Adobe Suite and/or Figma, keeping files neat and organized for final delivery
- Utilize Asana as the primary tool for internal communication, status updates, delivery of files, and project management
- Present in written or verbal form to stakeholders and partners
- Proficient in both digital and print output
Nice to haves:
- Experience using Splashthat
- Knowledge of animation in Adobe Express and / or Canva (or similar tool)
- Affinity with illustration and / or animation
- Basic video editing experience
