As our Bookkeeper (Part Time) you’ll be carrying out the day to day bookkeeping for our French subsidiary, and will therefore need to be fluent in French as well as English. The day to day role will include entering all sales and purchase invoices, preparing month end journals and preparing monthly management accounts.
Your Team Mates
Our finance team shoulders the responsibility of monitoring the financial health of the entire company. They reason with logic, are accurate with numbers, and grasp what adds or brings tangible value to the business. And they do it with great optimism and humour.
What Does The Job Actually Involve?
- Leading and managing the bookkeeping for our French Entity, entering all sales and purchase invoices onto the accounting system accurately
- Preparing monthly management accounts ensuring the balance sheet is fully reconciled
- Preparing month end adjustments, i.e. accruals, prepayments etc
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Performing daily bank reconciliations, managing bank payments and preparing cash flow statements
- Filing French VAT returns and ensuring all other tax and statutory filings are made in a timely manner
- Managing the payroll process and ensuring salary payments and statutory deductions are paid in a within agreed deadlines
- Liaising with our French accountants to ensure year accounts are prepared within agreed timescales and filed in a timely manner
Your Hard Skills
- At least 4 years book keeping / accountancy experience
- Fluent in English and French
- Understanding of French GAAP
- Relevant qualifications
- High attention to detail
