Job Overview:
We’re seeking a multi-talented Brand Manager who can expertly integrate brand strategy, community engagement, and project management to drive the success of our entertainment IPs. As a Brand Manager, you will serve as the heartbeat of our entertainment brands, leading efforts to build and maintain strong brand identities while fostering fan engagement and overseeing the execution of key initiatives. This unique role combines strategic thinking, community-driven insights, and project leadership to ensure our titles thrive in an ever-evolving market.
Candidates will need to be bilingual in Chinese/English, in order to be a vital connecting piece between Los Angeles-based divisions and Chinese employees, partners, and production studios. Editorial and verbal translation will be regularly required, therefore, exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin are a must. Possession of a valid translation certificate, such as American Translators Association (ATA), ASTA-USA (UN Translation Accreditation), or Certified Translation Professional (CTP) is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute comprehensive brand strategies for our entertainment titles, ensuring alignment with company goals and fan expectations.
- Drive the creative vision for marketing campaigns, collaborating with internal teams to produce high-impact promotional assets (trailers, visuals, etc.).
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including influencers, press, and partners.
- Manage relationships with overseas team in China to ensure marketing plans are executed at a global level
Community Engagement
- Cultivate a passionate and loyal fan base by responding to community feedback, addressing concerns, and celebrating achievements.
- Lead community initiatives such as live streams, events, and social campaigns to enhance fan engagement.
- Help guide creative content and marketing initiatives based on fan interest and the theme and tone of the IP.
Project Management
- Oversee the planning and execution of brand-related projects, including title releases, updates, and marketing campaigns.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure high-quality deliverables on schedule.
- Oversee development of APPs, websites, and other Interactive Films projects and products
- Act as a central point of coordination between creative, development, and marketing teams, ensuring seamless collaboration.
- Anticipate risks and proactively develop solutions to address challenges and keep projects on track.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in brand management, marketing, or a similar role, ideally within the entertainment industry.
- Technical background in film or television production. Strong skill sets in photography, photo editing, post-production, Adobe Creative Suite, and Google Suite is required.
- Proven experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
- Proficiency with social media platforms, community management tools, and project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello, or Jira).
- 1+ years experience providing professional translation services, preferably in a technical context.
- Must have thorough understanding and appreciation for short-form romantic dramas and made-for-mobile digital content.
- Knowledge of Movie Magic Scheduling and Movie Magic Budgeting is a plus.
- Contacts across the entertainment space (including writers, production personnel, talent, etc.) is a plus.
Preferred:
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin.
- Knowledge of game development and publishing processes.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and content marketing strategies.
Salary:
Competitive salary range of $70,000 - $84,000 per year
