QA Data Specialist

Duration: Full time, Monday to Friday 9:00am -5:30pm
As a QA Data Specialist you will play a key role in analyzing and validating the data we use to reduce the number of defects. You should be a sharp, curious, and analytic individual who has a passion for diving into data to solve business problems. Your insights will influence how we build and verify the quality of our games.
What a Quality Analyst does:
- Partner with the Data Engineers and Architects to identify defects and present findings to the engineering team
- Builds test cases and test plans and executes them to ensure high data quality in the team’s solutions
- Presents analysis conclusions to the partners in a clear, understandable, and valuable way
- Takes responsibility and ownership for their active projects, always looking for new problems to solve and new concepts to implement
- Communicates clearly (and as often as needed) with team members and business partners
- Builds lasting relationships across the data analyst community, to share knowledge and learn from others
- Conduct analysis using statistical software, databases, spreadsheets, and reporting tools
- Design, evaluate and monitor key metrics, understanding root causes of changes in metrics
- Develop and maintain scripts and queries to import, manipulate, clean, and transform data from different sources
- Perform quality assurance on generated results to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Assemble data from multiple sources, detects anomalies, conducts analyses, performs research, designs, documents and implements analytical solution
Daily/Weekly tasks
Developing and implementing test plans and scripts for various data quality processes. Maintaining manual and automated test scripts and recommending modification as per requirements. Coordinating with teams to design standards for present and prospective applications and databases. Maintaining an effective framework in coordination with technology teams for production systems. Report it back to their stakeholders – business analysts – create the insights and financial and player data to development teams and executives, Create executive dashboards - view commerce, how many players, $QV on the team – their responsibility would be to view the new tables to ensure there are no discrepancies in the data and no duplicate value
Requirements
Must Have Requirements
- 2-3 years in a past Quality Analyst role
- Experience in developing automated and manual test suite and frameworks
- Experience developing in Python, very good database and SQL knowledge
- Knowledge of Excel, PivotTables, and array functions - or other similar tools used for discovering data patterns and correlations through statistical methods
- University degree in a technical field (e.g. Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, etc.)
- Strong problem solving and creative thinking skill
- Ability to start and maintain effective partnerships between valuable customers
- Professionalism in working with global clients and working in a distributed team environment
Additional Requirements

- Understanding of Agile/Waterfall process
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong analytical skills to solve complex business requirements
- Detail oriented, organized, careful and takes mistakes seriously
- Self-motivated and self-driven, with demonstrated ability to learn new concepts quickly and independently

- Quality Assurance & Gaming knowledge (or able to learn it at a fast pace)
- Experience with systems integration (data import/export, data cleansing/QA)
- Understanding of correlation, regression, classification, and other statistical methods used to look at the data from different angles for use in prescriptive and predictive models
- Experience in working with large operational data sets, involving categorical data for solving classification problems, is a strong plus.
- Experience with QA tools such as DevTrack, DevTest, Hansoft, Pond, Jira, and other data resources
