Backend Programmer
It’s an exciting time to join Tactile. We're one of the largest Danish gaming companies and we have been scaling fast in the last few years. We're currently on the search for an experienced backend programmer with a strong knowledge of web service technologies (who doesn't shy away from doing a bit of front-end work as well), to join our team here in Copenhagen.
As a part of our Core team, you will work on business critical systems that are used across the company. Our Core team is responsible for making internal tools and services (such as our build server, LiveOps dashboard and game web services), which are used to control and manage our game operations, as well as to support the game teams with improving their workflows.
In this team you will be working very closely with other back-end and full-stack engineers in a flat structure with little hierarchy. We foster an open environment in which all team members take ownership of projects, and are encouraged to voice opinions, share ideas, and to really have an impact on the work they do here. The perfect fit for the team is therefore very self-driven, proactive and curious, as well as a strong team player.
What you'll be doing in this role:
- Building and automating various business related systems
- Implementing API integrations for web services
- Improving and extending internal back- and front-end tools used by the Game teams
- Monitoring and maintaining our back-end infrastructure
What technologies we work with:
- TypeScript, JavaScript and Node.js (experience with these is a must have)
- Web services (RESTful) and web technologies in general
- SQL, in particular BigQuery
- MongoDB
- Docker and Kubernetes
- Linux tools
It's also nice if you have:
- Experience with frontend development libraries & frameworks, such as React.js (which we use to build our client side front-end)
- Experience with DevOps & CI/CD (we use GitOps and CircleCI here)
- Experience with GCP
- Strong focus on clean coding principles and building well engineered, long-term solutions
What we offer:
🌆 Beautiful office with probably the best view in Copenhagen
🩺 Pension and private health insurance
💻 A chance to work with the latest tools and technology
📚 Opportunities for individual growth with development talks as well as workshops, books and courses
🌮 Daily, healthy organic breakfast and lunch prepared by our professional chefs in-house
🥳 Social activities, including game nights, book club, Friday bar and more
✈️ Relocation package if you are coming from outside of Denmark
🔍 Free Danish lessons with our in-house Danish teachers Anja and Andreas
This is a full-time position, available now and based on-site in our Copenhagen office.
