Your role within our Kingdom

We are looking for extraordinarily skilled Technology interns from a variety of backgrounds and interests to join our Kingdom this Autumn!

With titles like Candy Crush and Farm Heroes, our code runs on hundreds of millions of devices across the world. As a Technology Intern at King, you can either get involved with the making of the games, where you together with your colleagues take part in the process of specifying, designing, building and implementing existing and new game features. Or join our teams working behind the scenes with our engines, systems and platforms instead. A game that looks good on paper is nice, but a game that plays brilliantly across all digital platforms is better. Help us do just that.

QA Analyst Intern

We are looking for a highly motivated QA Specialist Intern to join our game engine team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gaming and a desire to learn and grow in the field of Quality Assistance for game engines. As a QA Specialist Intern, you will be expected to learn and acquire new skills in the field of testing. You should be willing to take on new challenges and actively seek out opportunities to learn and gain experience. As your responsibilities: Perform manual testing of game engine features and functionalities; Document and track defects; Work closely with developers to ensure that defects are resolved in a timely manner; Develop and execute test scenarios and test plans; Share updates in daily with QA team and provide status updates on testing activities; Learn about testing processes and methodologies to continuously improve them; Complete assigned tasks within specified timelines; Work with the QA & development team to reproduce and debug issues

Tech Writer Intern

King’s internal game engine team, Fiction Factory, is looking for a Technical Writer Intern to help support the team and its users. As a Technical Writer Intern, you will help shape documentation and communications. The internship will expose you to many areas of the business. The role involves developing, delivering and maintaining documentation for users while ensuring best practices and translating potentially complex concepts into easy- to- understand content. The role also includes writing newsletters, communications and other engaging materials for our stakeholders. We are looking for candidates who have clear verbal communication skills and are willing and able to express new ideas, concerns, and opinions directly to the wider teams. Ideally you are someone who thrives on clear communication methodologies and enjoys communicating complex technical material in a clear, simple and articulate manner. Experience with programming languages and producing documentation using HTML/CSS or Markdown is a bonus but not essential.
