Audio Programmer

Job Description

The Game Audio Programmer is responsible for development of audio tools and technologies for current and next generation of gaming. They should be able to work with minimal supervision, adhere to timelines, have high standards when it comes to code quality, and have the desire to work on AAA titles in a highly collaborative team environment.

Main responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and support audio systems for AAA games
• Implement and maintain tools and systems that allow designers to realise the vision of the games.
• Work closely with the audio department and content creators to improve workflow
• Analyse the performance of the audio systems and optimize.
• Document and support audio feature creation, enhancement and usability.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• 2 years in Audio Programming
• Passion for Games and Audio
• Strong C++ programming skills is a mandatory
• Good knowledge of mathematics, software development practices, optimisation strategies and debugging techniques.
• Good knowledge of developing for multi-threaded systems.
• Knowledge of audio fundamentals (filtering, reverb, compression schemes ,etc)
• Preferred but not essential:
• Experience with third party audio middleware such as Wwise/FMOD etc
• Knowledge of digital signal processing (DSP)
• Other game development experience
