Audio Programmer

The Story

An exceptional opportunity to join a team that has customised Unreal Engine 4 to build a suite of powerful, world-class systems and tools that underpin our games. Now we need your help to take this to the next level.

Responsibilities

As a key part of the core team for our games, yuor responsibilities will include:

• Assess audio feature requirements working closely with the audio director, tech director and sound designers
• Create new and update existing game systems, from player facing code to production use
• Develop and maintain cutting-edge workflows, tools and pipelines to maximise efficiency
• Innovate in emerging areas such as spatial audio as the projects demand
• Collaborate with other disciplines to achieve the highest quality unified player experience
• Produce code to high standards of readability, reliability and performance

Requirements

What we're looking for:

• Excellent C++ with strong contributions to shipped games on console and PC
• Expert experience of audio middleware such as Wwise or FMOD
• Expert knowledge of game engines such as UE4 or Unity
• Desire to innovate on emerging spatial audio technologies / APIs
• Clear communication within the audio and wider dev teams
• Leadership in developing clear technical strategy
• Practical and pragmatic approach

We'd be especially impressed by:

• In-depth knowledge of the Wwise audio API
• Detailed knowledge of SDK and requirements of PS4, XB One, PC and other consoles

• Experience extending the UE4 editor and runtime

• Experience implementing advanced spatial audio features
