What We Need:
Our Foothill Ranch, CA studio is seeking an experienced Audio Designer to help sculpt the soundscape of our upcoming exciting new open world driving game. We need a highly creative and passionate professional to help us exceed our own high expectations. This role will focus on designing, creating, and implementing sounds across all aspects of the game.
What You Will Do:
- Work alongside designers and artists to develop multiple aspects of audio, including sound effects for VFX, UI, ambient backgrounds, foley, etc.
- Define a coherent sound style used across the entire game
- Record or generate sounds as needed to expand our audio library
- Identify opportunities in the game to further develop the soundscape and help create an exciting and inviting world
- Assist in audio implementation using FMOD Studio
- Mix and balance audio levels across different modes of gameplay
Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit:
- 5+ years of professional experience of sound design in the game industry
- A passion for creating amazing audio and a strong attention to detail
- Exceptional sound design skills with a strong conceptual design sense
- Working knowledge of professional audio software and hardware
- Experience with FMOD Studio
- Experience with field recording, foley, microphone, and recording equipment
- Strong organization and housekeeping skills for asset management
- Great communication and teamwork skills and the ability to work within a highly collaborative environment
Pluses:
- Understanding of game design concepts and of the development process
- Ability to compose music
- Live or studio recording experience
- Dialogue recording experience
- Knowledge of surround mixing techniques
