Audio Coordinator - Riot Creative Department

As an Audio Coordinator , you will report into the Head of Audio at Riot. You’ll play a dynamic role on a diverse discipline, with the chance to grow in sound design craft. You’ll manage pipelines for the audio discipline, clearing the path for sound designers, composers, and voice-over craftspeople to bring awesome audio experiences for players and audiences. Additionally, you will build and maintain relationships with our roster of external partners and vendors. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable managing several in-flight tasks at once, and has a strong passion for becoming a sound designer.
As an Audio Coordinator for Creative & IP Development, you will work on a small team, functioning as a central point of contact for the entire audio discipline. You will manage requests, reduce blockers and destroy pain points for audio craftspeople across products at the studio. You will be largely independent in the role, but will also work together with the Head of Audio and project Audio Directors to support a vast array of opportunity spaces for the discipline. You’ll also work with our partners in finance, legal, and IT. Your frequent interaction with this large network of fellow Rioters requires you to serve as a steadfast ambassador for the audio discipline across the organization, following and emulating our values wherever you go.
Responsibilities:
- Manage pipelines for the audio discipline
- Order and maintain gear and software for the audio discipline
- Arrange the setup of new audio vendors and outsourcing of projects
- Organize team outings, events, knowledge share meetings, and other audio centered events and gatherings
- Maintain the discipline sound library and documentation, including tagging, archiving, backup, and guides.
- Maintain calendars and reminders for discipline-wide rituals
Required Qualifications:
- 1+ years audio related work experience
- Knowledge of computer based digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Nuendo and Reaper.
- Knowledge of audio production basics
Desired Qualifications:
- Degree in Audio/Sound Production or related fields a plus
