Atmospheric FX Artist

Do you have a passion for atmospheric effects? Do you want to work in a multi-disciplinary group responsible for the development and implementation of weather, clouds, atmospherics, ambience, fog, and atmospheric effects using cutting-edge real-time technologies? Guerrilla’s Atmospheric FX Team is looking for an ambitious individual with a deep interest in weather and atmospheric effects to join the studio as an Atmospheric FX Artist

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a member of Atmospheric FX you will collaborate with all teams at Guerrilla, especially Art Direction and our FX, Lighting, and Environment Art teams to help meet our aesthetic and in-game requirements using our tools and technology.

As an Atmospheric FX Artist, we will look to you to:

• Create, visualize and implement a wide range of particle and shader effects in close collaboration with the FX, Lighting and Art departments
• Work on a wide range of outdoor and indoor atmospheric effects like rain, snow, dust, and fog
• Ensure your work runs within performance requirements
• Set up logic that drives your effects using our visual scripting language

WHO YOU ARE

We'd love to hear from you if you:

• Have concrete experience in Film/Game VFX with an interest in weather and atmospheric effects
• Have a strong technical and artistic skill set with a passion for building expressive effects and effects shaders.
• Are experienced with 3D software which utilizes visual scripting languages to build shaders. (Houdini, Maya, Unreal, etc.)
• Have a strong understanding of particle systems. (Houdini, Popcorn FX, Cascade, etc.)
• Are self-motivated to learn and explore new software
• Enjoy working in an agile, multi-disciplinary team
• Proactively solve issues and assist your teammates in doing the same
• Have a background that adds to the diversity of our team
