Atlassian Administrator

The opportunity

We are looking for an Atlassian administrator to join our growing distributed team of administrators. In this role, you will be assisting in the management of our Atlassian suite of products to include Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence. This role will be primarily supporting our North American teams, but you will likely meet with teams around the globe.

Day to day activities include conversations with individuals and teams across the company in support of their application requirements. We use Slack, Zoom, and email for communication so the ability to respond clearly and efficiently is essential.

You will need to be able to document your work in a detailed manner that allows others to understand and replicate what you've done in your absence.

What you'll be doing

• Provide application support for our JIRA and Confluence pre-production and production environments
• Build and maintain JIRA projects, workflows, screen schemes, custom fields, permission schemes and notification schemes
• Analyze requests for new JIRA functionality, implement new features, triage incoming support requests and handle or route appropriately
• Develop dashboards, and advanced filters in JIRA and Confluence to provide relevant operational/performance metrics and status reports using built in gadgets and EazyBi reporting
• Apply built-in customization and third-party add-ons to extend Atlassian Suite functionality as needed

What we're looking for

• A good level of knowledge of the Atlassian Suite and its features, with an understanding of general administration and configuration
• Good Troubleshooting, Analytical, Communication and Client Interfacing skills
• Basic understanding of Github/lab and integration with JIRA using the DVCS connector, its triggers, and automation capabilities
• Good understanding of advanced JQL to assist teams with their reporting requirements
• Experience working in a constantly evolving, multifaceted, and agile environment, able to manage time and maintain an excellent work ethic

You might also have

• Solid grasp of scripting languages such as Groovy script
• Understanding of business processes and ability to use the Atlassian Suite of tools to enhance and improve those processes
