Associate Technical WriterSummary
The Associate Technical Writer is responsible for developing high-quality documentation for both internal & external support on Aristocrat-supported product lines released in Class II, Class III, and Video Lottery Terminal markets. The ideal candidate is an outstanding writer with hands-on photoshop, illustrator, and wiki syntax or HTML application software writing experience and a proven ability to write content targeted to professional and technical audiences. In this role, you will be working with cutting-edge technology & applying fresh ideas and creativity to deliver the world's most incredible gaming experience every day.

Work closely with technical customer support, development, product management, field services, and various other teams to develop high-quality technical content for a targeted audience.
Draft, maintain and edit content for multiple deliverables, including technical notes, product notifications, how-to guides, product overviews, & newsletters.
Must be self-motivated, work independently or within a group with minimal supervision, work through open-ended situations, and re-prioritize documentation requests based on urgency.
Validate steps/procedures while writing documentation with safety & field practicality as key focus points.
Learn and apply the Aristocrat writing style with a minimalist approach and focus on quality.
Learn and understand the Class II, Class III, Video Lottery Terminal, Aristocrat Tribal Lottery System differences to apply writing principles against the various product lines.
Learn and continue to evolve with Aristocrat selected online tools (Aristocrat Resource Center, Axonify, Video content) used as an information resource to have information available in a real-time atmosphere for field service technicians for support.
Assist the Advanced Technical Support team on special projects & new product deliverables.
Work as an integral part of the Advanced Technical Support team and attend knowledge transfers, product demos, and team meetings.
Provide regular updates to the manager regarding project status and deliverable commitments.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree in technical writing related to electronics or equivalent experience in casino operations related to gaming machine servicing, repair, and support.
- A minimum of three years experience in the casino industry slot machine & casino management systems experiences preferred.
- Must have strong analytical, written, verbal, interpersonal skills, combined with solid multitasking abilities
- An understanding of jurisdictional and compliance requirements, operating systems, casino management systems, and configuration requirements.
- This position will require registration with the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NVGB) and other gaming jurisdictions in which Aristocrat operates.
