We are building a culture of collaboration and seeking an imaginative, strategic, and versatile Associate Technical Animator with a focus on game scripting and cinematic scenes implementation to join our team in Carlsbad, California. What you’ll do…
- Work with established game engine and animation systems within digital creation tools.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of Designers, Animators and Technical Animators encouraging a positive team dynamic.
- Work quickly and optimally to support content creators.
- Technical design and narrative scene support, and animation prop rig creation.
To succeed you should have…
- Experience in game scripting, technical design, animation roles or technical art.
- Professional or personal experience working with real time game engines.
- Proficiency in building skeletons, skinning and rigging in Maya.
- Good understanding of proprietary engine and related tools.
- Strong artistic skills and solid understanding of 3D art production.
- Working understanding of Python tool and pipeline development.
- The ability to communicate and collaborate optimally with the development team.
- Strong problem solving and trouble-shooting skills.
- Must be flexible and comfortable with prototyping and quick iteration.
- An adaptable and continuous learning attitude.
We’d love it if you also have…
- A Technical Animation/Art Degree.
- Knowledge of real-time physics and ragdolls, pre-baked simulation, or shader creation.
- Experience in in-game cinematics and capturing and editing skills.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $24.04 - $44.47 Hourly. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
