Associate Systems Designer

Do you dream about creating worlds imbued with real value and consequence? Can you devise a way for a player to grow while preserving the delicate balance of an action game? If you answered yes to these questions, Bungie wants you on our team as our newest Associate Systems Designer.
As a Systems Designer, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of in game economies, rewards and vendors. You will work as part of a highly collaborative group and interact with a diverse set of teams to create engaging gameplay loops for the game's annual and seasonal releases. You will participate in a process and culture that relies on providing and receiving feedback to shepherd content through all phases of development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with a small team to create a wide variety of reward and progression systems
- Perform advanced scripting and tools work
- Collaborate with multiple disciplines to create and maintain sustainable systems that excite and engage players
- Design creative additions and improvements for existing systems
- Tune gameplay values to create compelling moments and a satisfying progression curve
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Portfolio, past work, or other showcase of economy and systems design knowledge (academic, professional, or personal)
- Good understanding of game engines, technology, and the game development process
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for collaboration with designers, artists, programmers, testers and producers to create industry leading game systems
- Dedication to contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment
- Ability to deliver and receive feedback on design in a constructive and positive way
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
- Technical experience writing text-based scripts to manage game systems (scripting in a Lua, Python, or similar language)
- Experience working on projects with multiple disciplines
- Experience working on updates to a launched game
