Associate Software Test Engineer

Job Description:

Are you a passionate gamer with an eye for detail? Brightpoint Studios is on the lookout for an

Associate Software QA Engineer to play a pivotal role in the testing and quality assurance of our

gaming products. Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and fellow QA team members

to identify and resolve issues, ensuring our games meet the highest standards of quality. The

ideal candidate should have a strong background in game testing, a solid understanding of

testing techniques, and experience with SQL (BigQuery), MongoDB.

Key Responsibilities:

● Test Plans and Cases: Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for

gaming products.

● Testing: Perform functional, regression, performance, and stress testing on various

platforms and devices.

● Defect Tracking: Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.

● Passion for Gaming: Maintain a passion for playing games and discovering issues.

● Reporting: Generate test reports and share findings with all stakeholders.

● Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and isolate issues, submit bugs, and collaborate with

developers for resolution.

● Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements

and provide feedback on design and functionality.

● Data Validation: Utilize SQL (BigQuery) and MongoDB for data validation and testing

purposes.

● Analysis and Improvement: Analyze test results, identify trends, and provide

recommendations for improvements.

● Assistance: Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with day-to-day testing tasks.

● Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in

QA and game testing.

Qualifications:

● Engineering Degree: A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.

● Experience: 1+ years of experience in software QA, with a focus on game testing and/or

enterprise products.

● Passion for Gaming: Genuine enthusiasm for gaming and a keen eye for discovering

issues within games.
