Associate Quality Engineer- QA Engineer

Duration: Full time, Monday to Friday, flexible hours
The Associate Quality Engineer will be working alongside both Quality Assurance teams and development partners to create, maintain, and enhance automation scripts. In this role you will be able to provide technical insights and expertise to support comprehensive automated verification. This position works collaboratively with the development and QA teams.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent industry experience
- Advanced knowledge of Software Development Life-Cycle processes (Agile/Scrum/Kanban)
- Professional QA member
- Professional software experience using Cypress, Selenium, HP ALM, etc.
- Ability to build and use internal tools
- Advanced knowledge of testing methodologies
- Unit testing
- Update scripts
- Debug process
- Fix bugs on existing scripts
- Expert database knowledge: MySQL, SQL server, Elastic Stack
- Knowledge of source code management tools (Jenkins, Git, etc.)
- Ability to present to multiple management levels
- Ability to work independently or as a team member
- Confident, articulate, and professional communication skills(verbal and written)
Daily/weekly tasks
- Provides automated testing support through test script creation, verification and modification
- Develop and maintain scripts and queries to import, manipulate, clean and transform data from different sources
- Work with Software Quality Engineers (SQE’s) to prioritize script development
- Provides feedback on the current automation toolset to improve efficiency in test script generation
- Gather data and report progress through standardized automation reports
- Contributes/Attends regular scrums and meetings
- Track project progress through department standardized metrics tools
- Takes responsibility and ownership for their active projects, always looking for problem resolution and implementation
- Owns the execution of test strategy in area assigned;
- Develops test cases for specific features, performs performance/load tests, and debugging
- Code-level technical testing, functional testing, and security testing
- Analyzes scalability, network throughput and load testing metrics
- Adheres to internal software engineering best practices for code design
- Ability to identify and possibly resolve performance bottlenecks in complex systems
