Stardock is currently seeking a talented and organized Associate Quality Assurance Analyst to work alongside our internal QA, developers and artists! The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is responsible for driving projects to success, has an acute attention to detail, and has a passion for supporting the development process at every step of a project. This is a salaried, full-time position located at and reporting to our Plymouth, Michigan studio.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Review Stardock software and games for usability.
- Test software and games to identify bugs and stress points.
- Verify our software and games in an ongoing capacity for compatibility and quality throughout its lifecycle.
- Understand and follow all instructions throughout the defined workflow process.
- Document clear and concise steps to reproduce in bug report.
- Utilize Jira or similar bug tracking software to log issues and notes.
- Thoroughly investigate and analyze issues to troubleshoot and diagnose root causes.
Education and/or Experience Desired:
- Working knowledge of personal computers, software and hardware.
- Proficiency using Mac/Microsoft applications and operating systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and stay focused on the task at hand.
- Acute attention to detail.
- Previous QA experience with either software or games, preferred.
- Passion for personal computer gaming and utilization of desktop enhancement software, preferred.
