Associate Production Coordinator: Code

Rockstar San Diego is looking to hire a Production Associate who is highly organized and passionate about supporting the code production team. This is a full-time permanent position based out of Rockstar’s unique game development studio in Carlsbad, CA.
WHAT WE DO
- We act as general support across all the code departments to help create the celebrated games that we are known for. Where each code sub-department has their own dedicated production to help coordinate each team, we operate on more high level, general initiatives to assist the code department as a whole.
- Beyond our own initiatives, we work with the various management and production teams, both within code and beyond the department, to help coordinate the development of various active projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with the global code teams on a wide array of projects and initiatives.
- Support production efforts and coordinate with all support departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of Code, Tools and Audio programming departments.
- Help liaise and coordinate with code production team on a wide array of production and coordination responsibilities.
- Help assign out incoming bugs to relevant sub-departments.
- Help liaise with QA and ensure bugs are tracked and being progressed, especially closer to milestone ends and releases.
- Help with any game health and performance initiatives.
- Creating and running both ad hoc and recurring meetings on a variety of topics, as well as taking meeting notes, sharing them as appropriate, and ensuring that action points are carried out.
- Maintain lists of top issues and help chase them up with external departments.
- Communicate progress and help with all reporting initiatives of the Code group.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ years of experience in Production, Project Management or QA roles.
- Positive, solution-oriented individual with a passion for game development and project management.
SKILLS
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to write accurate and descriptive bug reports.
- Proven ability to communicate and comprehend technical information in both written and verbal form.
- An aptitude for working in a deadline-focused team environment.
- Self-motivated and adaptable with strong problem-solving skills.
- An eagerness to learn new software and develop skillsets.
- Strong data management skills.
- Experience with MS Office, particularly around Excel.
- Able to work both on a variety of tasks simultaneously: sometimes as a team and sometimes of their own autonomy.
PLUSES

- An interest in video games and their development.
- Participation in any academic or industry research or complex project development.
- Professional experience in the Software, Video Game, or similar industry.
- Professional experience in Quality Assurance, HelpDesk, IT support, etc.
- Experience with:
- Project Management.
- Game Creation or Modification Tools.
- Perforce or equivalent source control software.
- Jira or equivalent bug/project tracking software.
- Visual Studio.
- Windows APIs.
- Reading and analyzing technical output and/or crash dumps
- In-depth familiarity of Rockstar products is a massive plus.
