Associate Producer

Vela Games is Looking for a Talented Associate Producer to help build our New Multiplayer Game.

At Vela we love games of every type, but we know that multiplayer, when done well, has a special ability to bring people together. It allows players to keep in touch with old friends regardless of distance, and to forge new friendships that will last lifetimes. Vela was created with these moments in mind, and our focus every day is thinking about how we can create impactful gaming experiences that inspire gamers around the world to play and win together.

We’re looking for someone who wants to be part of the core foundation of Vela Games; someone who is passionate about being part of an early tight-knit team laser-focused on creating a game from the ground up. As an Associate Producer you’re an emerging leader who is comfortable prioritising goals, creating schedules, and leading teams to achieve great outcomes.

What You Will Do:

• Work with teams to prioritise game feature development
• Lead cross functional development teams to achieve their goals
• Maintain development practices that lead to great player experiences and highly effective teams
• Facilitate team rituals including milestone and sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Creating visibility of work across teams and stakeholders and flag risks early
• Maintain a strong culture of team empowerment and creative problem solving
• Support the team to gather and organise (internal) playtest data of bugs and feedback

Requirements:

• Experience prioritising team goals
• Expert knowledge of agile development methodologies
• You have a passion for gaming
• You can identify and mitigate production risks
• You are a collaborative team member who works across Vela to solve problems

Bonus Points:

• Training and experience in Team Facilitation
• Contemporary Product Management training and experience
