Responsibilities:-
Project Management
- Drives highly creative projects involving complex technological challenges with a strong corporate impact.
- Influences and leads innovation on the project at a brand level.
- Anticipates market trends and technological innovations to maximize the project content and quality.
- Acts as a group reference internally and/or externally for project management expertise.
Production Management
- Define and present the game development strategy to management
- Define the scope of the project and main deliverables
- Suggest a development plan for each platform
- Draw up and follow the project budget
- Build the team structure and optimally organize the workloads
- Decide which compromises should be made between the time, quality, and budget
- Manage risks and approve the contingency plans
- Draw up and present the status of the project (project snapshot status – PSS) to management
- Participate in defining the project deliverables and risks
- Be the point of contact with regular reports to production manager, studio manager and HQ teams
- Coordinate, delegate, and ensure the organization of the work to be carried out
- Suggest a plan of attack for any delays that could affect the content, schedule, or quality
- Ensure proper bug management (bug reports, priorities, etc.);
- Ensure and coordinate the liaison for the marketing deliverables (demos, promotional events, product placement integration, etc.);
Content
- Challenge and support the creative director/content manager/ game designer in creating the game vision
- Implement the corporation’s management and design methods within the team
- Challenge the technical and IT teams on the technology choices
- Suggest technology choices that support game development (tools, engine) to management
- Ensure that you receive the level of quality that was expected
Budget
- Participate in respecting and following up on the budget;
- Determine the purchasing needs for the project (e.g.: software, material).
Recruitment
- Identify human resource needs and ensure the creation and follow up of the hiring plan;
- Participate in selecting team members.
Training
- Act as a coach for the team and provide regular feedback;
- Participate in determining training and development needs.
Assessment
- Participate in the team’s performance assessment process;
- Take the necessary disciplinary measures during the first steps of the disciplinary process when necessary.
Others
- Build the core team
- Participate in the creation and development of the project’s organizational structure;
- Ensure that the decision-making framework is respected (who decided what);
- Optimize and improve work methods;
- Organize team-building activities (e.g.: t-shirts, meals, activities outside Ubi);
- Implement measures that foster communication within the team;
- Address difficult team situations (conflicts,communication issues, etc) and take the actions necessary to resolve them;
- Ensure communication between crafts and the producers;
- Resolve any problem that the team may encounter during production;
- Carry out all other related tasks.
Required skills:
- 3+ years of experience as a Producer in Gaming industry.
- Proven aptitude producing, launching, maintaining on more than 3 titles on console platform
- Strong analytical, technical and project management skills (Knowledge on Agile and Scrum
methodology)
- Knowledge of game industry standard software tools, design documentations and mobile production processes including game concept and prototyping creation,budgeting, bug tracking and stakeholder reporting.
- Should have communicated with internal departments including Legal, Marketing, Localization, QA, Production, Product Management, Live Operations,Customer Service and Business Development.
- Passionate gamer with in-depth knowledge on current trends on casual mobile titles and the
desire to push the boundaries of standards.
- Deep knowledge of Freemium games and in-game monetization/economy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ability to coach, give feedback and work in a collaborative environment
