About the company:

Thunderful is a relatively new company, but with old roots. It was formed by a number of small indie companies coming together to make something greater than they could have done independently. Over the last few years, Thunderful has grown into four different offices with roughly 120 people making games in team sizes between 15-35 people.

The teams within have developed the award-winning SteamWorld series, known for its frequent genre-hopping and inclusive design, as well as more recent AA-games like The Gunk , Lost in Random, and other, un-announced but equally charming titles.

About the role:

Thunderful is looking for a hands-on Associate Producer for our game projects. In this role you will have the opportunity to explore, implement and improve processes, methods and tools to help the team to stay true to quality standards, to meet delivery dates and specifications and to create wonderful game experiences in a sustainable way.

This position requires an EU-citizenship.

Responsibilities includes:

• Ability to track and help the team’s progress towards achieving the production objectives
• Reports, follow-ups and takeaways from the process
• Make sure everyone in the team has the information they need to do their jobs in the most efficient way possible
• Book and facilitate meetings and respond to inquiries about the project
• Update milestones plans, roadmaps, project- and task management systems
• Make sure documentation related to the project are up to date
• Support Leads in different disciplines with scheduling and resource management
• Support Teams and facilitate and encourage cross-discipline communication
• Report to Producer

Requirements:

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as Associate/Assistant Producer, Project Manager/Lead or similar within game development.
• Experience in project management and agile methods and tools etc.
• Experience managing a team through a full production cycle in game development
• Enthusiastic and Solution-oriented
• Ability to prioritize with tight deadlines and follow through
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Excellent verbal and written english skills

Bonus points:

• Experience as Producer
• Experience from multi-platform(including consoles) game productions
• Experience from both AAA and Indie development
• Credit on shipped games as Associate Producer or similar and has been involved with at least one project through a complete development cycle.

Our majestic Thunderful Games HQ in Gothenburg towers over all surrounding buildings except its slightly taller neighbors (we'll get there someday). Don't mistake it for a typical office! Inside you'll find a custom-built game dev powerhouse with some of the industry's very best. The Gothenburg teams have been at it for over two decades and worked their way to the top with the SteamWorld series and EA Originals like Fe and Lost in Random.

From our rooftop terrace, we overlook the bustling city center with its canal, delightful eateries, a rich cultural life, and a fascinating past – all within walking distance!
