Associate Producer

Private Division is a developer-focused publisher that empowers independent studios to develop the games that they are passionate about creating, while providing the support that they need to make their titles critically and commercially successful on a global scale. Announced as a new division of Take-Two Interactive Software, the label publishes Kerbal Space Program, The Outer Worlds, Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey, Disintegration, and more. Private Division is headquartered in New York City with offices in Seattle, Munich, Singapore, and Las Vegas.

The Challenge

An Associate Producer at Private Division will assist the Production team in all aspects of game production as they work with external developers with a key focus on single areas of development. This role will facilitate communication and support Producers with data research, analysis and project management. The Associate Producer naturally excels at organization, loves games and thinks deeply about them and most of all is willing to roll up their sleeves and learn.

What You’ll Take On

• Manage defined tasks through each phase of development.

• Act as a liaison with external vendors and handle their workflow.
• Supports the planning and budgeting processes for products.
• Be responsible for one or more areas of development within a project, such as multiplayer, console port or art outsourcing.
• Gather and coordinate milestone and development feedback with development teams.
• · Be responsible for handling internal tools and workflow, such as wikis and tracking databases.

• Travel, both domestic and international, may be required (once it is safe to do so).
  

What You Bring

• A love and understanding of games and what it takes to make them and the chaos of development.
• A deep desire to learn and contribute to the creation of new games.
• Some experience in game development and has experienced part of the development lifecycle in a commercial or student project.

• Is comfortable learning new methods and tools and teaching others.
• Document, share, and teach relevant processes to the production team.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

• Encouraged to identify and then take ownership of any responsibilities that lie within the scope of projects that are not currently assigned.
