Associate Producer

Oxide Games is looking for an Associate Producer to join our team to facilitate communication, assist with problem solving and time management, as well as partner with multi-disciplinary teams: Engineering, Art, Design, QA, and Production. The ideal candidate will use their skills in communication, organization, and project management to help the Production team ferry the project toward a successful launch. This is an opportunity to work with a new IP AAA game with a first party publisher while gaining production experience.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Production team to create, implement, and modify a multifaceted game schedule
- Assist Producers by observing deadlines and tracking down cross discipline action items and escalating/resolving issues that might compromise the quality of delivery
- Keep production plans, backlogs, and bug queues updated and accurate to best facilitate forward planning of the project
- Work closely with all disciplines to understand development needs as well as be able to iterate and adapt to new processes
- Work with Production and other departments to assist with adherence to schedules
Requirements:
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Good communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to think through problems to find the best solution
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively to solve problems in an efficient manner
- Knowledge of game development processes such as agile and waterfall methodologies
- Understand the importance of deadlines and their overall impact on the project
As a plus:
- BA/BS
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps
- 1+ years in game development and/or production.
- Shipped one or more games
