About us:

Located in Southern California, GungHo Online Entertainment America Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of the Japanese game company GungHo Online Entertainment, Inc. Publishing titles across multiple platforms ranging from console to handheld and mobile, our group is comprised of veterans from various aspects of the industry brought together by one simple thing: a love of gaming.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for managing the development, launch, and operation of GungHo titles on various platforms. Producer will work closely with all departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and present cohesive strategies for launching and operating online titles.
  • Coordinate efforts by Development, Localization, QA, Marketing, and Community teams to execute decided strategies.
  • Be aware of the schedule and budget, set correct expectations, and be proactive in communicating issues.
  • Establish and communicate KPI targets.
  • Create necessary reports.
  • Work with all other departments to achieve set KPI targets, before and after launch.
    • Work with Japanese Development team to implement and operate new contents, events, etc…
    • Work with Community team to effectively communicate with our user base.
    • Work with Marketing team to find new marketing opportunities.
    • Manage UA efforts
  • Lead forecasting, consumer marketing, and A/B testing.
  • Communicate with platform account managers to find promotional opportunities.
  • Stay on top of new best practices and technologies to keep up with the competition.

Other Potential Responsibilities:

  • Serve as interpreter between English and Japanese when necessary.
  • Provide graphic design feedback and suggestions, and assist in production when needed.
  • Perform special projects and other miscellaneous duties that are assigned by upper management.
  • Collaborate with marketing and community teams to facilitate competitive events on a range of titles.
  • Test prototypes of future game titles to provide constructive feedback.
  • Travel on business or work beyond normal work hours when necessary.
  • Attends trade shows and live events as needed (e.g. E3, Anime Expo, etc.).

Qualifications / desired experience:

  • Must be English and Japanese bilingual in writing, reading, and speaking.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high competency in both written and verbal communication in English and Japanese.
  • Superior analytical skills, ability to make plans, and project management skills are essential.
  • Strong motivation to drive a project assigned.
  • Experienced at Associate Producer/Producer in gaming industry is a plus.
  • Experience working on console titles and operating live ops games is a plus.
