Associate Producer - Operations, Spark
Gearbox Software is looking for an Associate Producer to join the Spark team and help assist in daily operations management. Spark is a platform and online game engine supporting both internal and external titles. Operations management considers a wide range of responsibilities and concerns, but at its focus are people and processes. Being the glue of the team means you're often first to identify the unanticipated challenges that face us as we pursue operational excellence. This role benefits from an observant person who regularly practices empathy, but also someone who has the patience to see past the superficial symptoms and knee jerk answers and look deep toward the root causes. They can use this wisdom to guide the team steadily toward success.
Responsibilities
- Help cultivate an effective organization through processes like hiring, onboarding, and growth of the individual as well as the team
- Advocate for a successful and healthy team culture through successful feedback and conflict resolution
- Develop & continually measure objective understandings of success and health for our teams
- Manage a wide variety of unique projects and challenges as needed to achieve operational excellence
- Identify, organize, and advocate for processes and process improvements
- Work alongside Production and Product Management, contributing to organizational finance management
- Collaborate with leadership to deliver on individual team improvements or changes
- Coordinate team travel and events for the department as needed
Qualifications
- Balanced between creative and analytical approaches to assessing challenges and problem solving
- Highly organized & excellent track record of getting things done
- Excellent listener and communicator, both written and verbal
- Comfortable with leadership through influence rather than authority
- Strong ability to develop & build on cross-department relationships
- Self-motivated to always look for improvements to themselves and their organization
- 1-2 years of experience as a Project Manager, Producer or related experience
Bonus Points For
- Familiarity with strengths and weaknesses of a variety of team organization practices like scrum, xp, and scaled agile framework
- Project management related education or certifications
- Prior experience in video game or software development
