Associate Producer, Localization (Contract)

As a live service product, the sun never sets on Pokémon GO. Whether it’s an in-game event, an in-person event, a new feature, a new legendary Pokémon in Raid Battles, or a Team GO Rocket takeover, there’s always something happening for Trainers to enjoy.
Niantic’s Pokémon GO Team is seeking an Associate Producer to help run the localization pipeline in Pokémon GO.
In this role, you’ll work closely with the broader Pokémon GO team and Niantic Localization Program Manager to deliver in-game strings to players for new events and game features. You’ll ensure that Trainers around the world are able to enjoy Pokémon GO in any of the 12 languages we support in-game, and work closely with our development team and external partners to add new languages to the game as well. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, has an existing passion for Pokémon GO, and is able to balance multiple responsibilities with minimal oversight.
This is a contractor position and the work should be performed based on service agreement and SOW. Niantic will not offer Contractor direct employment contract, salary, benefits, equities, or any compensation associated with employment.
Responsibilities
- Manage localization efforts through all stages of production and development across Pokémon GO team.
- Drive new language support in Pokémon GO.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners and vendors to ensure localization quality.
- Identify and resolve process gaps in localization processes.
- Document localization process for broader team knowledge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or a technical discipline.
- Strong project management and organization skills.
- Familiarity with project management in Jira.
- Familiarity with Git or willingness to learn Git basics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Japanese language ability is a plus.

The salary range for this role is $60.00 - $73.00 per hour.
