Associate Producer - Contract

Playground Games is looking for an Associate Producer to join our Horizon team on a contract basis.

As a first-party Xbox Game Studio, we are passionate about making genre-defining games that are accessible, beautiful, and, most of all, fun. We are looking to expand our diverse team as we continue driving forward our BAFTA award-winning Forza Horizon franchise.

About the role:

As Associate Producer, you will be working alongside the Environment Art and Level Design Producer to deliver best-in-class visuals and gameplay. You will facilitate communication between multiple development disciplines, supporting the costing, planning, and execution of work.

Our ideal candidate has a promising background in a Junior Production or Senior QA role and is looking to take the next step on their career journey. They are passionate about their craft, skilled in project management and planning, and have the track record to prove it.

This is a contract role based at our facilities in Royal Leamington Spa.

What you’ll do:

• Demonstrate sound production process, problem solving, analysis, and curiosity.
• Create reports and documentation, attend and host meetings and stand-ups.
• Collaborate with the Producer, Art and Level Design Teams to cost and schedule work, and check progress of delivery.
• Monitor bug databases, working with QA to ensure the accurate reporting of issues during test phases.

What you’ll bring:

• Exposure to a range of project management software packages such as Jira, MS Project etc.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• A good grasp of art, game design and technical fundamentals, including console platform considerations
• 2+ years of Production or QA experience, with demonstrable work on at least 1 published title (ideally AAA).
• A strong understanding of Microsoft Excel, and the MS Office package in general.
• A love for driving games and the Forza Horizon franchise is a plus.
