An Associate Mission Designer at The Gearbox Entertainment Company is an entry-level development role focused on creating missions and narrative activities that breathe life into the worlds we build. This position is for recent college graduates looking to get a start in the industry.

An Associate Mission Designer is responsible for owning the player’s moment-to-moment experience when exploring the worlds we build. Candidates should have strong visual scripting skills, working knowledge of basic level design skills, and a strong feel for storytelling. Job duties will include pitching missions, working with the writing team to develop narrative moments, scripting narrative events, and owning the technical implementation of all mission objectives.

Successful candidates will show a passion for interconnecting narrative and gameplay, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in teams.
