Blizzard Entertainment is looking for anAssociate Manager, Digital Media Activation and Investment to join the Global Growth Marketing team and lead media activation for a selection of Blizzard’s gaming franchises. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player eager to build audience-centric paid media campaigns that support the player lifecycle from acquisition through retention.
The Associate Manager will be responsible for owning media planning and implementation for their assigned campaigns, collaborating with the internal strategy team, and overseeing a group of platform-specific activation specialists.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties
Media Buying – 40%
- Oversee media activation for assigned Activision Blizzard franchises, acting as a point of contact to internal teams
- Collaborate with the strategy and operational teams to determine media partners for assigned campaigns
- Own RFP process, working with publishers to assure timely receipt and accuracy of proposals, including:
- Leading internal reviews of media proposals to compile feedback and notes for vendors
- Negotiate plans and rates on behalf of Activision Blizzard
- Working cross-functionally with internal teams and agency partners to establish and maintain content calendars, assets, and creative for all campaigns
- Taking ownership of financial tracking, helping ensure proper billing and payment
Management – 40%
- Manage the day-to-day activity of media specialists for assigned campaigns
- Guide activation team workflow, being a conduit between various platform teams
Internal Collaboration – 10%
- Maintain strong partnerships with internal teams (strategy, analytics, consumer marketing, etc.) and international counterparts
- Participate in larger team projects on the future of media buying and activation
Learning & Development – 10%
- Monitor trends in performance and brand media; keep tabs on emerging platforms and advertising units
Requirements
- 6+ years of paid media experience (or relative experience)
- 1+ years of management experience
- Experience in strategic planning and proven cases of bringing plans to execution
- Comfort in leading meetings and presenting to executives
- Ability to manage large scale projects from start to finish
- Proven track record in operating with a high-level of energy, commitment, and enthusiasm to take on a challenging role with cross-functional commitments
- Expert at Excel; proficiency with other MS Office products
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Pluses
- BA / BS degree in marketing, advertising, business, or related field
- Proficiency in collaborating within a large, complex organization
- Experience with Ad Serving technology like GCM, Flashtalking, etc. a bonus
- Passion for video games and understanding industry trends
- While game industry experience is not a requirement, previous work across PC and mobile gaming is a plus
