Associate Manager, Consumer & Market Insights

When you write a questionnaire or interview consumers, do you look beyond the easy answers for what drives behavior? I'm talking about your ability to help uncover deep insights about gamers - the kind that enable forward-thinking, data-informed strategic decisions that make outstanding games.

We're looking for someone with a strong market research skillset and experience in the digital or tabletop gaming fields to assist in designing and conducting consumer insights studies, such as surveys, focus groups, and game playtests.
What you'll do:
- Contribute to (and eventually own) various aspects of consumer research studies, such as satisfaction and interest surveys, product/feature/design concept testing, consumer play-testing, and advertising/marketing testing
- Coordinate contract routing and purchase order requests, and handle research vendor relationships
- Prepare and program questionnaires, clean and prepare Excel data sets for analysis, and draft PowerPoint presentations and report templates
- Utilize third-party subscription data and reports to answer business questions, monitor consumer trends and provide industry and competitor insights, and help discover potential product/marketing opportunities
- Maintain and update project calendar, question library / questionnaire change log for major studies, SharePoint site, and other living documents used on an ongoing basis by the team
- Keep projects and results on track with your outstanding organizational skills
- Show a dedication to exceeding partner expectations and take the initiative to help solve business problems
- Stay up to date on market trends, releases, and developments to help our brands win
- Foster and support a constant test / learn / innovate culture fed by fact-based consumer insights data and best-in-class research tools, methodology, and secondary research
What you'll bring:
- 3+ years of experience in Consumer Insights, Market Research, Social Sciences, or related experience within the digital gaming, hobby games, toy, or related entertainment field
- BA/BS or equivalent experience required, preferably with a concentration in Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Social Science, Market Research, User Experience, or related coursework
- Comfortable with data and numbers
- Strong proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Passion for understanding consumer motivations and delivering exceptional user experiences
- Ability to communicate complex ideas in an efficient and compelling way
- Solid problem definition / solution skills, non-stop intellectual curiosity, and a love of learning
- Knowledge of Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, and/or digital gaming a plus
