Associate, Global Social Media Engagement

The Community Activation Team connects with the voices of EA’s 300+ million players playing our roster of global games. The team’s mission is to build healthy communities via authentic experiences designed to engage, inform, and empower to create and ignite social advocacy at scale.

The Associate, Social Media Engagement is an entry level position that is part of EA’s Global Social Media Engagement team. Among a group of social media experts, you will support EA SPORTS FIFA with the goal of building and maintaining relationships with players and fans via authentic, engaging, lightweight content and stories distributed via the most popular social media channels. The role reports into the Lead, Social Media Engagement and teams-up with and assists with all the tasks pertaining to the deployment, trafficking, production, global publishing and reporting of/for high performing social media campaigns and editorial content for the EA title that s/he is assigned to.

As part of EA’s marketing and communications organization (MARCOM), the Social Media Engagement team is in constant and direct dialogue with players and fans, defines the content and the tone and helps foster and maintain fandom for some of the largest Entertainment brands in the world.

The ideal candidate has a passion for video games, social media, storytelling, creating fun and engaging content. Creativity and an eye for good content and stories are a must and the person who has a knack for catching and surfing trends and topics that will excite players and create dialogue will be successful in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, manage and execute compelling social media and community campaigns for the EA SPORTS FIFA franchise.
• Conceptualize, create and publish content on owned social media channels to engage our community and maintain a consistent and positive presence with our audience.
• Analyze social media data, content performance and community sentiment – make recommendations on future activations to better maximize KPIs and ROI.
• Stay updated on the latest social media tools, content best practices and upcoming technologies so EA SPORTS FIFA continues to a leader in the industry.
• Develop a brand voice that is consistent across owned social media channels.
• Work closely and collaboratively with the brand marketing, activation, community, PR, media, live service, legal and development teams.

• Contribute to social media reports for team leads and key stakeholders in the company.

Experience & Qualifications:

• BA or BS degree in journalism, communications, marketing, media studies, related fields or equivalent work experience.
• 2-4 years of experience developing and executing social media campaigns for large online communities, ideally within football, sports or the video game industry.
• Knowledge of social media best practices for platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and Twitch in addition to appropriate metrics of success.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail, grammar and tone. Additional languages are a plus.
• A passionate fan of EA SPORTS FIFA and understanding of the communities wants and needs.
• Excited by creating unique and innovative social media content and has basic content creation skills such as Photoshop and Adobe.
• Detail-oriented and can adhere to deadlines.
• Ability to problem solve and think critically.
• Constantly strive to find opportunities to improve processes.
