Associate Game Producer

This is an exciting opportunity for an Associate Game Producer to join the Digital Publishing team. In the Wizards’ Digital Game Studio, we foster strong positive relationships across component teams within the company. This role will work closely with the team to facilitate development and communications, both internally between the various internal departments, and externally with our partners to produce and deliver outstanding and unforgettable experiences. Typical tasks include, yet are not limited to, communicating information and feedback, scheduling and tracking tasks and assets to meet deadlines, reporting status, and identifying and reporting risks and assisting to following schedules.
The ideal candidate is passionate and hardworking, with a consistent track record working with internal teams and external developers in both small and large scale environments, and who is eager to work with us in our aim to elevate Wizards’ digital efforts to be outstanding.
What You'll Do:
- Help to nurture and manage internal and external resources to meet production schedules and maintain a coherent creative vision throughout the entire game cycle.
- Support Producers, Senior Producers, and Executive Producers to develop product budgets and schedules while assisting to adhere to set timelines.
- Collect, prioritize, and lead material sets for distribution to various parties.
- Own administrative functions as required by the development team, coordinate meetings, build JIRA and Shotgun tasks.
- Work within Jira bug tracking tool, querying bugs, entering bug cases and reviewing, triaging bugs through the system. Previous experience with this tool highly sought.
- Work within Confluence to maintain all developer/publisher feedback.
- Coordinate game asset requests and feedback from various internal teams.
- General tech setup, participation, and breakdown for meetings and reviews.
- Run and/or participate in meetings to help the team understand, align, and execute against common goals, presenting to leadership.
What you’ll bring:
The successful candidate has a strong mix of creative, technical, innovation, and managerial experience from the development and publishing gaming space.
- 2+ years in console/PC videogame experience with at least one commercially shipped title. 5+ years and 2+ shipped titles in a development and/or publishing role within a production team preferred.
- Friendly, helpful, and collaborative in a team-based environment; self-motivated, results-oriented self-starter with a strong drive to deliver quality products without supervision.
- A strong background and understanding of multi-platform video game production preferred.
- Ability to work on multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines - a problem solver who also has a high attention to detail.
- Experience of software development processes, project management, and agile development methodologies.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, and Confluence.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Passion for continuous improvement and a strong desire to learn.
