Soldiers, scientists, adventurers, oddities…game producers? The Overwatch team, passionate gamers at heart, is looking for a new hero to help us on Overwatch 2 - the globe-spanning sequel to Blizzard Entertainment’s acclaimed team-based FPS game.

Members of the Overwatch 2 team are driven to make the most fun and compelling experiences for our players. As a Features Game Producer , you will spend your days collaborating with the teams responsible for building and leveling up our in-game features . From trying on skins in our Hero Gallery to finding new friends in our Social menu, o ur goal is to surprise and delight our players. We believe in maximum visibility and communication at the team level and with the people who play our game. This philosophy, along with the Blizzard values of “Gameplay First” and “Play Nice, Play Fair,” has made Overwatch one of Blizzard's most successful games, and has forged a bond of trust with our player community that is important to us .

This is a full-time position at our office in Irvine, California.

Responsibilities

  • Motivate and provide support to your team, always contributing to a positive work environment
  • Support effective, efficient communication between developers. Organize meetings and record meeting notes and follow-ups. Maintain effective tracking of follow-ups to support production.
  • Own the tracking and maintenance of day-to-day developer tasking. Proactively surface risks to schedule.
  • Effectively communicate with developers of all disciplines
  • Collaborate with other producers to keep team moving forward with a shared vision
  • Help make informed decisions in conjunction with team leads on work methods, development pipelines, priorities, and available people
  • Gather, organize and document Feature requirements with an eye towards providing other teams with required details (primarily QA)

Requirements

  • Demon strable ability to track and maintain team schedules, and to support production’s ability drive projects to completion in a timely manner
  • Skill to communicate effectively, accurately, and succinctly with key partners of all game development disciplines
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to drive towards clarity; strong collaborative problem solver
  • Knowledge of software development and project management products
  • Expertise with Jira, Confluence, Microsoft suite, or comparable applications

Pluses

  • Relevant skills in project management or production knowledge
  • Experience with online games
  • Experience with Zoom and Slack communication tools
  • Familiarity with game engines (Unity, Unreal, etc.)
  • BA / BS (or equivalent)

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $24.04 - $44.47 Hourly. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
