GSN Games is looking for an Associate Game Developer to join our fabulous team in the UK, Spain or Ukraine! This is a 1 year fixed term contract to start, with the goal to go permanent for the right candidate.

What You’ll Do:
As an Associate Game Developer, you will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of game features. You will work closely with the Game Designers, Product Managers and Backend Engineers to create fun, shiny and moreish features for our passionate players.
You will implement game features and work with the team to make them more fun. You’ll manage your schedule and pace of work in an agile project management environment. In this role, you will get the opportunity to utilize and grow your development skills and express your creativity. Your day-to-day may include:
- Game feature development on the mobile application
- Identifying and solving problems in the game
- Balancing between practical and ideal engineering practices to achieve goals effectively
- Working closely with Design and Product to find a balance between fun and practicality
- Creating tools for developers to use to develop and maintain games
- Working together with other engineers to solve hard problems
- Investigating problems with the live game and fix them on the fly
- Contributing to the design of the games by providing meaningful insights
About You:
You have a passion for games, technology and innovation. You’ll be energetic, enthusiastic and collaborative in your approach to all things. You have a passion to learn new concepts and want to improve things you see that don’t work. You’ll be:
- Passionate about creating and playing mobile games
- Excited to work closely with all disciplines and teams
- Experienced with Agile/Scrum managed projects
Experience with our Tech Stack is a big plus but we’re more interested in the right person who is wanting to learn.Tech Stack / Architecture
- Our game is written in Unity for iOS and Android
- Experience in any sort of game development or experience with Unity is what we’re ideally looking for!
- We use C# for the game and Groovy for our builds
- Our mobile application handles a lot of network traffic with downloading assets and handling data
- We use the Dependency Injection, Event Driven and MVP patterns extensively in our code
- We have a lot of custom Unity Editor scripts for managing our (awesome) assets pipeline
- We use Git for our version control
